Admission Policies and Procedures
Inquiries for admission to St. Stanislaus School are welcome at any time. Families of young children seeking admission to prekindergarten or kindergarten are urged to apply early since places fill up quickly. Applications are accepted at any time after the child’s birth. These applications are kept on file and a place is reserved for the child. Parents are contacted during the year prior to the admissions date requested to formally register the child.
An Open House is held every year on the Thursday evening of Catholic Schools Week. This is an opportunity to meet faculty, students, and parents. However, prospective families are welcome to visit the school at any time during the year.
Preschool: A child must be 4 on or before September 1. The child must be able to use the bathroom without help. Parents must provide a birth and, if available, a baptismal certificate. 3 year-olds are accepted if there are available slots.
Kindergarten: A child must be 5 years of age on or before September 1. Parents must provide a birth and baptismal certificate and a preschool evaluation, if available.
Grades 1-8: Parents must provide the following:
– Birth and baptismal certificate
– Copy of most recent standardized test results
– Copy of the most recent report card
– I.E.P., 504 Plan, or other accommodation plan, if applicable
– Letter or telephone reference from current school
An interview with the principal, parents, and the student must take place for admission. Interviews may be scheduled by calling the school office at 508-674-6771. Admission is contingent upon receipt and review of the required records. Available space and school resources are also factors in acceptance. St. Stanislaus School has a primary obligation to children who are siblings of students currently enrolled, to children of alumni, and to parishioners of this parish. All parents are expected to actively support the school.
